This Grade II listed stone and thatched cottage, dating from the 16th Century is full of period charm. Pear Tree Cottage has been refurbished to the highest standard and features a light and bright sitting room with an open fire and a spacious kitchen/dining room with garden views. With one double and one twin bedroom, the cottage is the perfect size for a family of four. The beautiful garden is fully enclosed with outdoor garden furniture for enjoying al fresco dining.
Netherbury was the home of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's original 'River Cottage' and the village of 'Cloton' in Thomas Hardy's short story 'Destiny and a Blue Cloak'.
There is a pub in the neighbouring hamlet of Waytown, a short walk away and good pubs and restaurants in the attractive towns of Beaminster (2 miles) and Bridport (4 miles).
Netherbury makes an ideal base for walking and cycling and is close to the Jurassic Coast with amenities for sailing, fishing, fossil hunting and more more.

A light and airy sitting room with an open fire, two sofas in front of a SMART television with DVD Player, desk and chair and a wide selection of books and games. The window seat allows you to watch the world go by.
The fully fitted kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, Kitchen Aid food processor, dishwasher, fridge with ice box and a microwave. The larder houses a washing machine.

The master bedroom includes a king size bed (5’), bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers, and a reading chair.
The bathroom has a free standing bath with shower attachment, wash basin, heated towel rail and wc.

Pear Tree Cottage is located in the picturesque village of Netherbury, situated between Beaminster, where you will find a good selection of eateries, and Bridport, known for its lively art/music scene and twice weekly market.
With wonderful walking and cycling routes straight from the doorstep, it’s tempting just to potter locally and enjoy the countryside.
A little further afield you are spoilt for choice with the World Heritage Jurassic Coast with it’s beaches and stunning scenery, just a 20 minute drive away.
Broadchurch fans will immediately recognise West Bay and The Watch House café there provides the perfect excuse to leave the beach picnic behind for a day or two.
A five minute drive in the opposite direction takes you to the bustling market town of Beaminster where culinary and retail temptation await.
The area has an abundance of fresh, local produce but when the cook needs a night off, there are a number of good restaurants and pubs close by.
The countryside around Pear Tree Cottage is outstandingly beautiful and un-spoilt, with the coast nearby and plenty to do and see at all times of the year; it really makes a perfect place to stay and recharge your batteries.
