North End Farmhouse is a Grade II listed 17th Century thatched farmhouse with plenty of traditional features such as an inglenook fireplace, mullion windows and even an old bread oven but with all the comforts and mod cons needed in a holiday home. With features such as an AGA, wood burning stove, open fire, pool table, plenty of outside space with garden furniture and barbecue, this is an ideal property for large get-togethers. Guests are also welcome to wander around the hundred-acre farm which North End Farmhouse is situated on. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary, locally sourced cream tea or full English breakfast.
A pretty two-mile walk takes you to the nearest beach at Seatown.

Layout

Ground Floor

The beamed sitting room is a fabulous space for everyone to gather with stunning views across the garden and countryside beyond. Three large sofas are at one end in front of an inglenook fireplace with open fire. Features of yesteryear can clearly be seen, with an old stone spiral staircase running behind the fireplace (A character feature, this stair case has been blocked off). At the other end of this enormous room is a pool table, large Smart television and MP3 player.
A second living room or snug includes comfortable seating in front of a wood burning stove.
The large kitchen/dining room includes a fitted kitchen with AGA, separate electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. A separate room houses a washing machine. There is a large farmhouse kitchen table with seating for twelve.
The ground floor also houses a bedroom with two orthopaedic single beds and an adjacent wet room.
An additional downstairs shower room is handy for those coming in from a long country walk.

First Floor

The master bedroom with stunning views has a king size bed, two bedside tables with lamps. The en-suite bathroom includes a shower, wash basin and wc.
Bedroom two, or the children’s bedroom with wonderful views has twin bunk-bed and two single beds, chest of drawers and wardrobe.
Bedroom three, with lovely views has a double bed and wardrobe.
Bedroom four, with beautiful views across the surrounding countryside has a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe.
Bedroom five has two single beds and a wardrobe.
Bathroom one includes a bath (no shower), wash basin and wc.
Bathroom two includes a bath with shower attachment, wash basin and wc.

Outside

Outside a fenced garden has furniture for fourteen and a barbecue.
Guests are also welcome to wander around the hundred-acre farm which North End Farmhouse is situated on.

One well behaved dog welcome at an additional charge of £20.

Surrounding local area

A perfect location for peace and tranquillity and in one of the most picturesque valleys in the area, it will be difficult to drag yourself away from this relaxing retreat. Situated in a walker’s paradise, you can set off from the door across to the nearest beach at Seatown two miles away. Access to the National Trust’s Golden Cap can be reached on foot from Seatown with views from Lyme Bay to Dartmoor on a good day.
Within a fifteen minute drive, you have either the friendly and vibrant market town of Bridport; the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis, also known as the pearl of Dorset famous for its fossils and the well known Cobb Harbour; and West Bay, the gateway to the Jurassic coast, more recently known for its dramatic scenes in the popular TV series 'Broadchurch'.
