Perched above Lyme Regis’ famous Cobb, this Grade II listed former coastguard’s cottage is a fresh and bright beach retreat. The conservatory leading onto the South-East facing terrace is a great place for al fresco dining in the summer; in the winter months, cosy up in front of the open fire as it crackles and melts away the winter weather outside.

With the beach just yards away and a fabulous selection of popular pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, come rain or shine, this really is a perfect hideaway.

Please note this property has a capacity of 4 (+2 sleeping on a sofa bed). Sofa beds can be added during the booking process.

(If this room is to be used as a bedroom, please note that it can be shut off from the kitchen and the rest of the house and there are blinds in the conservatory).
With a dining table and seating for four, leading onto the sun filled terrace with views towards Lyme Bay.
With an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

Houses a washer/dryer.
With bath and over-head shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and WC.

First Floor:
Master bedroom
With a double bed and LCD television. You can see Lyme Regis’ famous Cobb from this room.

With a king-size bed (zip and link, which can be made into two singles if preferred).

At the back of the cottage, there is a small courtyard with a table and seating for two, ideal for catching a private moment to yourself on a summer’s evening. The elevated terrace enjoys views over Lyme Bay and has a table and four chairs to relax and take in the sea air.

Additional Information:
There are three car parks in close proximity to Lyme Cottage.
Book a space at the adjoining B&B for £8 a day / £40 a week or park down by the Cobb for £8 a day or leave the car at the top of Cobb Road at the Holmbush car park for £2 a day/£14 a week.
The cottage is on a pedestrian terrace but there is space to pull up by the gate for loading and unloading before you park the car.
A welcome basket of logs is provided.
Towels, dressing gowns, hand soap and moisturiser are provided.
A high chair can be provided upon request.

Tucked away, just set back from The Cobb, Lyme Cottage is ideally located for those who want to breathe in the sea air and get away from it all. A stylish bolthole in a lovely coastal town, a very short walk from the sandy beach, pubs and restaurants.
Lyme Regis is a year-round destination sure to entertain the whole family. Festivals include the Regatta and Carnival Week, the Lifeboat Week, Food Rock Festival, Candles on the Cobb and the Christmas Tree Festival.
Walkers will be delighted that the coastal path is just a short stroll away, taking you to the region’s famous Golden Cap and further to West Bay, more recently made famous by ITV’s Broadchurch.
It is hard to visit Lyme Regis and the stunning stretch of coastline without collecting fossils or noticing the literary connections to the area - Jane Austen was a visitor to the town and Lyme often featured in her novels, most notably ‘Persuasion’.
Foodies will love the wonderful array of restaurants and markets in Lyme Regis and the surrounding area. Hix Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis, the highly acclaimed Hive Beach Café in Burton Bradstock and The Watch House Café in West Bay all offer locally sourced produce served in their own beautiful coastline setting.
