All Year Round

This market town is an old settlement which dates back to the 7th Century and has been devastated by fire three times. The whole of the historic town centre is a conservation area, with over 200 listed buildings. Many thatched, and very attractive.
This prosperous little town which once used to thrive from wool cloth, sailcloth, sackcloth and rope and twine is now probably more famous for the Beaminster Festival, an annual nine-day music and art festival which is held in the summer.
Beaminster is a charming place to stop and shop and sample some local delights and the manor house of Mapperton with its valley garden is close by.
