Be some of the millions of people from all over the world to visit Stonehenge. The breathtaking prehistoric monument is located just a few miles from Dorset near Salisbury in Wiltshire where it has stood for 3,500 years.
Dating back to 3,100 BC the circular landmark of standing stones give rise to many theories – a place of dying; a place of healing; built for human sacrifice; or all about astronomy.
The site is usually open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Entrance to the site is now managed by timed ticket only and advance booking is highly recommended as it’s the only way to guarantee entry on the day of your choice – you’ll also benefit from an advanced booking discount.
